Friends of Stewart Park welcome Steve Kress as guest speaker for the first virtual program of our Centennial Series, Birds of Stewart Park with Dr. Stephen Kress.
Acclaimed author and ornithologist Kress introduces some of the more than 100 bird species that frequent Stewart Park with stunning images and audio recordings and explains why Stewart Park is such a popular destination for both birds and birders.
Kress has taught a popular Spring Field Ornithology course at the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology for more than 40 years. He is the founder of Audubon’s Project Puffin and served for many years as director of the Hog Island Audubon Camp in Maine, and has written many books, articles, and online courses about birds and wildlife conservation.
