Three typhoons hit the island of Catanduanes in Bicol. With that, almost all of the abaca on the southern parts of this Province were destroyed. This is a big industry for locals that call this island home, and unfortunately it will now take some time to recover. After spending time rebuilding with the community in Puraran, I thought it would be a nice idea to raise a little awareness about Abaca, and have a good time with some of the locals who do this work for livelihood.
This is definitely one of the hardest jobs in the Philippines when it comes to physical demand! Just look at Allan and his “ripped body”. Seriously, this kind of work gets you really strong!!
