Nobody is allowed in or out of Cateel, except for essential goods, farm workers, cargo, medical staff and so on.
The situation is serious enough that the provincial IATF have imposed a lockdown – many cases across different barangays. There are a lot of “suspect” cases too – so they have found it right to close the borders and some establishments and deter further people from going out.
Owning a fishpond means that I am one of the “lucky escapees” – I can travel for essentials when required, with papers of course. I needed fish feeds, so I made a trip to Panabo, Davao del Norte, to haul them with my pickup truck.
Times are difficult right now. Let’s hope that the outbreak can be contained. My thumbnail and title might be jokey, but I just hope that I can make a few people smile in these difficult times.
